I enlisted in Aug 12th, 1971 and went to Fort Ord Ca. One of the best times of my life too! Then on to AIT in Virginia. Once there was permanent party for a few months, re-trained then went overseas. Once back in 1973 I got a chance to pick another MOS… and spend the rest of my time at the Oakland Army Base. All lots of good stories too! Received an Honorable discharge … then off to college once I ETA’d.
